The experiences of sin, suffering, illness and death are fundamental to every human life. The Church Entering into Communion responds to these experiences by offering healing and reconciliation through Jesus Christ, the true healer of our souls and bodies. There are two sacraments of healing in Catholic sacramental life: the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. This course will discover the Biblical origins and the historical development of these sacraments, as well as invite participants to recognise the need for healing and forgiveness in their own lives.
