Those who have experience of the RCIA ministry understand what a privilege it is to accompany individuals on their journey into the Catholic family. Many are also painfully aware of the heartache that comes when marriage issues create difficulties for those who embark on the journey. Relationships are increasing complex, as are the parameters defining family. It is therefore essential for priests and catechists to uncover during the Inquiry stage any relationship issues that may be a stumbling block for initiation into the Catholic Church.
